Exhibits in the Southern Tenant Farmers Museum follow the journey of tenant farmers, with three major historic events as milestones along the way:

1. Changes after the Civil War that led to a new farm labor system.

2. Conditions that led to development of a union during the Great Depression

3. Migration of farm labor out of the Delta during World War II and after mechanization of agriculture
