          STFM/Tyronza Regional Farmers Market is a non-profit entity for the purpose of developing and operating locally owned and operated farmers market in Tyronza and the surrounding area.  This was created to give the small farmer, craftsperson and plant grower a local marketplace for their products, as well as to provide the community access to its own local growers and craftspeople.

 

1.                  Days and hours of operation:  Thursday, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. or sold out, from June 12 through October 30.

 

2.                  Items to be sold include home grown or produced vegetables, fruits, honey, molasses, jams, jellies, pickles, nuts, cut flowers, plants and other products by the vendor.  Handcrafted items produced from the vendor can also be sold, such as soaps, candles and handcrafter outdoor furniture (porch swings, etc.)  Handcrafted items must be approved by the Market Manager.  Compliance with applicable taxes and Department of Health regulations is the responsibility of the vendor/member.

 

3.                  Prices need to be displayed for buyers to see.  Produce cannot be sold by weight unless a certified scale is used to determine weight.  Produce needs to be sold by piece, box, basket, bunch, dozen or bushel.

 

4.                  All produce must be cleaned and wholesome and reasonably priced.

 

5.                  All produce must be elevated to 18 inches or higher from the ground.

 

6.                  Each vendor will be responsible for cleaning up his/her booth and is responsible for hauling off his/her own trash.

 

7.                  Produce must be grown within a 100 mile radius of Tyronza or within the state of Arkansas.

 

8.                  Booths (10’ x 10’) will be rented for $5/day.  Tables or displays must be provided by the vendor.  Tents may be provided by the vendor.
